Geo-Chem strengthened its spice testing capabilities with new ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for its Unjha laboratory.
We are proud to announce that Geo-Chem (Part of the Cotecna Group)’s Unjha Laboratory has successfully obtained its first accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) along with regulators like Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) & Indian Oilseeds & Produce Export Promotion Council (IOPEPC).
The accreditation confirms that the laboratory complies with the internationally recognized standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.” This certification demonstrates the laboratory’s technical competence and ability to deliver accurate and reliable testing results.
Strategically located in Unjha- Gujarat, one of India’s most important spice trading hubs, the laboratory strengthens Cotecna’s specie testing capabilities, supporting exporters, traders, and producers with high-quality analytical services. The facility provides essential testing to help ensure that spice products meet regulatory requirements and international quality standards.
The accreditation also reflects Cotecna’s continued commitment to quality assurance, food safety, and global trade facilitation. The NABL accreditation certificate (TC-17692) was issued on 13 March 2026 and is valid until 12 March 2030.
